Monkeys can be trained...

Once you get him in a routine, don't deviate from it!!! We are learning that the hard way this week. We had done pretty well with letting him cry it out and put himself to sleep, until he got sick and we were dealing with his ears. I'd let him sleep on me a bit after a bottle and then go put him down asleep or we'd rock him to sleep and then go put him down.

For whatever reason, for as many nights as we can remember the past couple of weeks, he wakes up right around 10pm and cries - a lot. He started flopping in his crib too so we'd hear a thud over the monitor and one of us would go running making sure all was ok.

He's figured us out now and last night I stood with the door cracked a bit and watched the 10pm "new routine" play itself out. Cry, roll around, look towards door, cry louder, sit up, look towards door, cry/scream, flop backwards, and look towards door... I assume this is where he repeats the routine until we come in.

Stay strong, he will get back into his routine! Good Luck! (although it is pretty funny!)
