We started letting Adam cry it out when going to sleep at night. Our house was not a real fun place to be at about 9pm on Friday. We decided that we'd let him cry for 5 minutes or so, and then go in and calm him down - but not pick him up or let him fall asleep in our arms which had become the norm.
The first time in, the poor kid was so worked up, he was sweating looking up at us confused as to why we weren't coming to rescue him. We calmed him down and let him go after we left the room, and after about a half hour we finally gave up and no more tears. Saturday night was easy, he must have been exhausted and went right down. Last night was similar to Friday but he stopped crying in about 20 minutes.
He is sleeping much better through the night though (knock on wood), so HOPEFULLY we can finally get on somewhat of a sleep schedule.
