Sooooo.... Adam had a bunch of yellow/greenish goop on his left eye this morning. The pediatrician wanted to see him this afternoon, so we went in and got him checked out. All appears to be well; it is either a blocked tear duct or a bacterial infection which we have antibiotics for. We will know more this Friday when the test results are back, but the pediatrician did not seem too concerned. He was up to 8lbs 6oz, so he’s putting on a good amount of weight, up from 7lbs 11oz when we were discharged. We now don't go back to the doctor until March 20th barring any other issues.
Now to the “that’s my boy” portion of the story…. The nurse that weighed and measured him decided she also wanted to check his temperature – rectally. Well little Adam decided on the first “probe” that he was going to cover the nurses hands up to and including her shirt sleeves in green slime. Got that cleaned up, but she didn’t get a good reading on his temp, so she went in again. The second wave was worse than the first, got all over his clothes, the table he was on, and on the nurse again. That’s my boy.
(I promise I’ll try to keep the pooing stories to a minimum going forward, but when all he does is eat, sleep, poo, repeat – I am running short on material for those who keep hitting me up for updates)
